Abstract:The CICGF is one of China Import and Export Fairs.


Co-hosted by Ministry of Commerce of PRC and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, the 15th China International Consumer Goods Fair was held at Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center on June 7th, 2016. The CICGF is one of China Import and Export Fairs. Recently, Ningbo Municipal Commission of Commerce and CICGF has designated to introduce the activity“Cross-border Procurement Matchmaking”, in order to match accurately and make domestic suppliers closely cooperate with international buyers.

As the only one procurement matchmaking of this fair, the Cross-border Procurement Matchmaking, themed as “Credit Promotes Trade”, intended to build a branding and internationalized purchasing transaction platform, dominated by credit trade, and lead the foreign trade to enter 4.0 Credit Era.

This matchmaking has invited HU Huanjian, the deputy director of Ningbo Municipal Commission of Commerce, FEI Jianming, the head of Ningbo Council for the Promotion of International Trade, CHEN Zhangxin, the head of Circulation Development Office and James Cheung, the deputy general manager of Zhejiang Great Tao Network Technology Co., Ltd., etc.

It also invited international buyers from over 50 countries, including US, Canada, Italy, France, British, German, UAE and Australia, etc., to negotiate and cooperate with domestic suppliers face to face.

It’s known that by virtue of CICGF, China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo and Zhejiang Investment & Trade Symposium, fixedly invited international buyers to this matchmaking through the early careful organization and planning. The procurement demand of international buyers mainly covered these industries, including decoration and gifts, kitchenware, and daily necessities, etc., and these industries were just the main ones of CICGF. 

Based on the divisions of industry exhibitors, this matchmaking adopted the one-to-many communication mode, for making exhibitors more accurately carry out transactions with international buyers in all directions and at different levels. Meanwhile, also offers trade assurance to trading parties through the credit, for reducing the transaction costs. International buyers could obtain credit payment days and purchasing capital through, and then buying first and paying later. Exhibitors could also enjoy one-stop foreign trade value-added services offered by after receiving orders. Eventually, it realizes the worry-free trade, services and risks.

Johnson, one of international buyers, from British, told the reporter, “My company mainly engages in trade of British region. I wanna buy various decorations and gifts. Through this cross-border procurement matchmaking, I find suppliers successfully and get credit line of 1million USD within 90 payment days. So I can pay the money after 90 days once playing orders. It largely increases opportunities for using my circulating capital!”Another domestic supplier was glad to tell the reporter, “So many international buyers make match with us face to face, with in-depth exchange. What is a rare opportunity for us exhibitors!”

It is said that invited international buyers to develop trade cooperation through the credit. It not only brings the client resources and business opportunities to CICGF, but also drives the export increase of Ningbo City and helps Ningbo City march toward the goals of strong foreign trade city and international trade center.
